About Us
Welcome to Merton Community Transport
Merton Community Transport (MCT) was formally established in 1998 as a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The organisation was launched with support from the National Lottery Charities Board and the Bridge House Estates Trust Fund, enabling MCT to develop transport services that improve accessibility, independence, and community participation for residents across Merton and the surrounding areas. Since then, MCT has continued to provide safe, reliable, and affordable transport solutions for individuals, community groups, and local organisations.
What We Do
At Merton Community Transport (MCT), we believe that everyone—whether an individual or part of a community group—should have access to reliable, affordable, and accessible transport. We provide community minibus services that help people stay connected to essential services, social activities, healthcare appointments, shopping trips, and community events. Our aim is to reduce isolation, support independence, and enable people of all ages and abilities to participate fully in community life.

Hiya, It was nice to get out to see the London lights, it was just unfortunate that the traffic was horrendous which was quite frustrating for some of us. ‘This service has been invaluable to me because, being a permanent wheelchair user with no legs, it has been a godsend for me to be able to go shopping, look around the shops, get out of the house for a couple of hours and to meet people once or twice a week. It is an excellent support service for the elderly and disabled with mobility issues and for all our well-being and mental health.
